OCBC teams up with Disneyto boost new customer growth in SEA

The collaboration will kick off in Singapore with the soft launch of the OCBC MyOwn Account.

OCBC has partnered with Disney in a five-year collaboration across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, aiming to quadruple its new-to-bank customers in Southeast Asia. 

It will introduce Disney-themed financial products and experiences, alongside marketing activations and financial literacy content inspired by Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and "Star Wars" characters.

The collaboration will kick off in Singapore with the soft launch of the OCBC MyOwn Account on the bank's app, followed by an official launch on 20 October.

OCBC’s Wisma Atria branch will feature Disney- and Marvel-themed photo zones to attract customers.

Disney-inspired comics, activity sheets, and resources will be available digitally and in print, providing financial tips younger customers. Over 100,000 copies of the comics will be distributed to 110 secondary schools in Singapore.

OCBC’s rewards programme will offer select customers benefits, including Disney+ Premium or Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscriptions in Singapore and Malaysia, and other Disney-themed rewards for debit and credit cardholders, as well as OCBC 360 and Young Nyala Account customers in Indonesia.
