GCash PocketPay enables NFC devices to become payment portals

Any android device with NFC can accept contactless Visa and Mastercard payments.

GCash, a Philippine e-wallet, has launched GCash PocketPay, which enables any NFC enabled compatible devices to become payment acceptance points.

GCash PocketPay makes use of payment solutions provider BPC’s SmartVista platform to integrate in the GCash for Business ecosystem.

Using the SmartVisa platform, GCash for Business can support contactless Visa and Mastercard acceptance via GCash PocketPay on Android devices.

It is expected to open low-cost, secure modern payment acceptance for over 6 million Filipino businesses, merchants, and social sellers using the app.
