
Societe Generale names Alvaro Huete as country head for Singapore and SEA
Alvaro will oversee the bank’s GBIS business.
Societe Generale has appointed Alvaro Huete as country head for Singapore and Southeast Asia, effective immediately, according to an 8 September 2025 announcement.
Alvaro will oversee the bank’s global banking and investor solutions (GBIS) business activities across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Alvaro reports directly to Jerome Niddam, CEO, APAC. He is based in Singapore and will join the Asia Pacific Management Committee of Societe Generale.
He brings 28 years of experience in his new role and is expected to “play an instrumental role in further developing the GBIS business in Singapore” as well delivering value-added advisory and financial solutions to the bank’s clients in Southeast Asia, according to a press release by Societe Generale.
