BRI’s UMi has disbursed $40.53b in loans to MSMEs

Three years after launch, UMi now serves 176 million depositors.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) (BRI) said that its Ultra Micro Holding (UMi) ecosystem has disbursed financing exceeding $40.53b (IDR622.3t).

Three years after its launch, UMi now serves over 176 million depositors and 36.1 million borrowers, BRI said.

UMi comprise of BRI, PT Pegadaian and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM). 

BRI President Director Sunarso said that the past three years are just the beginning of their commitment to financial inclusion in Indonesia.

Indonesia's Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, highlighted the establishment of Ultra Micro Holding as a “strategic move” to unite BRI, Pegadaian and PNM to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs.
