CIMB Bank Berhad has entered into a memorandum of collaboration (MOU) with the Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) or Kuala Lumpur’s City Hall, committing MYR5m in targeted programmes that include driving digital adoption in small businesses.

Over the next three years, CIMB and DBKL will roll out targeted programmes to enable MSMEs to adopt digital solutions, offering exclusive cashback and rebate incentives.

They will also host cultural events, festivals, and even public art initiatives.

“Through this collaboration with DBKL, we aim to unlock opportunities for businesses, elevate local creative talent and inspire civic pride among Malaysians, while reinforcing Kuala Lumpur’s position as a regional hub,” said Novan Amirudin, group chief executive officer of CIMB Group.
