In a statement, BOCHK declared that it has no connection to the site and has reported it to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Police Force.

“The fraudulent website has a login page which intends to steal customers’ data, such as user name / bank card number and password,” BOCHK said.

The bank advised customers to access internet and mobile banking accounts by typing the website address of BOCHK directly into the browser address website, or through the BOCHK mobile apps downloaded from official app sources.

Customers are also reminded not to access accounts or provide personal information through hyperlinks, QR codes, or attachments.
