BOCHK warns of fake websites

The websites reportedly intend to steal customers’ data.

Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) has alerted two links that lead to a fraudulent BOC website.

The fraudulent websites are:

  • hxxps[:] // carousell [.] orderfrom [.] shop/237119333?refer=8
  • hxxps[:] // carousell [.] fundservice [.] online/247571701

The websites feature a login page which intends to steal customers’ data, such as username, bank card number and password, BOCHK said in a press release.

“BOCHK declares that it has no connection with the fraudulent websites,” the bank stated.

The case has been reported to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Police Force.
