Dah Sing Bank warns against fake website
The bank has reported the incident to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
Dah Sing Bank has issued a warning about a fraudulent website that unlawfully uses the bank’s branding and potentially requests customers to register accounts by providing personal information.
The bank clarified that it has no affiliation with the fraudulent website or its operator and stated it is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from interactions with the site or its operator.
Customers and the public are advised to verify web addresses carefully before entering login credentials, passwords, or any personal or financial information. Dah Sing Bank also advised against providing information or conducting transactions on suspicious websites or mobile apps.
The bank has reported the incident to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the police.
Customers or individuals who suspect they have submitted sensitive information via the fraudulent website are advised to immediately contact the bank’s security hotline, report the matter at a police station, or reach out to the Hong Kong Police Force's Anti-Deception Coordination Centre through its 24-hour helpline.
