It accepts the majority of e-wallet QR payments and is expected to benefit hawkers and minimarts.
Singapore startup Qashier has launched a QR payment terminal equipped with real-time auditory alert capabilities.
The QashierPay Soundbox is a plug-and-play terminal meant to be the easiest way for businesses to accept QR payments, and offers an ultra-low cost device. This is touted as a possible gamechanger for small businesses and merchants handling a quick flow of transactions, such as hawkers and mini-marts.
The device accepts the majority of e-wallet QR payments, including PayNow-enabled apps Google Pay, GrabPay, DBS Paylah, Singtel Dash and more. It also services One Paynow QR code for a smoother checkout experience for customers.
Merchants, meanwhile, are offered real-time history viewing of past transactions through QashierHQ.
