Former HSBC Philippines CEO Jose Arnulfo Veloso to be appointed as PNB chief

He will replace Reynaldo Maclang who’s retiring by November.

Global banking veteran Jose Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso will replace Philippine National Bank president Reynaldo Maclang who will retire from his post by November.

Veloso was the former president and CEO of HSBC Philippines since 2012 where he made history as the first Filipino to take the helm of the global bank.

He also served as vice-chair of the Open Market Committee of the Bankers Association of the Philippines.

Maclang will step down from his post as CEO and director effective November 15 but will continue to serve as board advisor.
