Hong Leong Bank appoints Galvin Yeo as head of digital banking

Yeo has nearly 20 years of experience.

According to a release, Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLBB) has appointed Mr.Galvin Yeo as its Head of Digital Banking with effect from 1st March 2013.

Equipped with nearly twenty years of experience, Mr. Yeo brings with him a wealth of skills, having served in the fields of banking, telecommunications and consulting.

With a degree in Electronics Engineering and a Masters in Computer Science, he has held many positions that have enriched his skills and aptitude in IT, finance, business development and telecommunications.

Most recently before joining HLBB, Mr. Yeo played a crucial role in one of the country’s top telecommunication company DiGi, where he spearheaded financial services strategies and initiatives.

In his new role at HLBB, Mr. Yeo will oversee and define overall digital strategies and harness the trends in emerging technologies, which include digital banking channels such as internet banking and mobile banking across businesses.

“With the advent of digital technology, banking customers increasingly will use multiple channels simultaneously without differentiation. HLBB aims to equip our customers with the key to access personal and business information whenever and however they need it. This will ensure that our banking services are intrinsically weaved into our customers’ digital lifestyle,” said Datuk Yvonne Chia, Group Managing Director of HLBB.
