BNP Paribas has new co-head for corporate finance

BNP Paribas SA has appointed Jwalant Nanavati to this position.

The French bank said Nanavati’s appointment is part of its efforts to strengthen its investment banking business in India. The firm offers capital markets, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions related advisory services in India.

Nanavati will be based in Mumbai and report to Ganeshan Murugaiyan, BNP Paribas India head of investment banking and strategic coverage.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Nanavati was the investment banking director at Deutsche Bank India.

"Jwalant's appointment further demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our investment banking presence here," said BNP Paribas India Chief Executive Officer and Country Head Jacques Michel.
